No, Coffee Cup Carlos, you're the person who turned the discussion from James' topic to your own. You're the one who, in a later post, said something about how Teresa's post should be in the media and then showed us a blog about the original discussion, not about Patrick and Teresa. And you're the one whose post has brought in people I don't remember posting here before who are holding up your argument.

Please, check your assumptions. I don't know any of these people at all. I've never talked with them, e-mailed them, or communicated with them in any other way other than on James's LJ, and barely at that. James's is the only LiveJournal I post to, aside from a very occasional comment at Charlie Stross's, and that's because I've had a few e-mail exchanges with those two people over the past ten years while they used to comment at my old blog.

I viewed this as a thread about SF people's bad behavior in relation to the ongoing race discussion, which James has brought up in various posts over the past two weeks -- which, in fact, is how I discovered it. I don't know how other people discovered the discussion here, and frankly don't care too much. Presumably James has a wide range of friends, you know? Also, there are these things called "search engines".

You can go on with your conspiracy theory if you want. It's incorrect.
