Even though all of the Clarke Awards posts so far have mostly had books I've heard of but have not read, I am greatly enjoying the political recaps.

I have read four of those and mostly wish I hadn't. Diamond Age was good, although it had the most Stephenson of the Stephenson endings that I've read (not complimentary).

Both Fairyland and The Time Ships were informative "I don't understand what other people see in this author" moments.
