Various of the Puppies complained bitterly that early on in the first novel there's a scene with a tavern in the snow, which As We All Know is a clear marker of fantasy, not SF, and How Dare Anyone Do Such a Thing!

Do they imagine that people in the distant future won't drink alcohol anymore?
