So the US government had effected a system where supers are a cohesive group, work together, and have reason to resent the government. Nobody has explained the history of Janissaries to them, have they?

I read through to chapter 21.

So far, the superpower bits seem like window dressing. I could see a version of this that was entirely mundane.

I'll keep reading though. Entertaining so far.
