Bet it doesn't fly, though.

"All of those conclusions was taken out based on Criminal Code and all of us we know that this Criminal Code is not a holy book," Esseghaier said. "It's just written by a set of creations and the creations they're not perfect because only the Creator is perfect.

"We cannot rely on the conclusions taken out from these judgments."

I see Islam is also on the list of things which you think you know a great deal about.

Capital punishment for apostasy has always been a controversial topic, with the Qu'ran not expressing a straight opinion one way or the other and has been the subject of a great deal of debate and interpretation by Islamic scholars for centuries. Even the one verse which seems explicit about it, 4:89 "But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them", which is the one some groups use to justify killing apostates, it's immediately followed by 4:90 which states that killing them is forbidden if they do not additionally fight against Muslims. As far back as the 8th century there were arguments that killing someone wasn't what was intended, that their punishment would be in the afterlife.

And there's always the argument over what's considered apostasy anyway with a lot of lively debate about the issue.

Probably he read about Islam in the same source that mentioned Amundsen's coastal tree-cutting.

Or maybe what he took to be Amundsen's ghost appeared to him and discussed both topics. That would explain a lot, actually.

If you know the Koran as well as you seem to, you also know the verse that requires a Moslem to lie whenever it is to the advantage of Moslems over non-Moslems, even under oath.

Especially under oath.

Consequently there are all these assurances about how Arabic cannot be perfectly translated, anyone attempting to convert is not automatically executed, women are not property, and there is some point in making treaties.

Telling the truth about Islam is an attack under sharia law, by the bye.

There are actually several verses, dipshit, not just one.

And your point? The Bible is full of verses that talk about how lying is sinful, Revelations 21:8 for instance ("But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone."). Oddly enough, this doesn't mean that a Christian can be assumed to be truthful, even though their holy book requires them to be.

(Pimps, oddly enough, have never been in short supply amongst Christians either. Or murderers.)

So why, other than bigotry, should one assume the opposite for a Muslim? Oh, that's right, because they're just a Faceless Brown Horde, aren't they? They're not real people with real human virtues and vices, just like anyone else.

The words you keep trying to put in my mouth give a valuable insight into the way you think; but then, everyone who reads them can tell that.

They have nothing to do with what I think, naturally.

We all know you're an ignorant bigot, Matthew.

I'm not the one favoring the ban on DDT that kills four million nonwhite people a year.

Dude, you're an idiot. There aren't four million malaria deaths a year, and most of those are in areas where the mosquito has developed significant DDT resistance. Why do you want to use an obsolete pesticide? Do you hate brown people that much?

So. Try again, asswipe.

You have just made statements which I know you are aware are false.

The number of deaths from malaria are under a million a year. The World Health Organization estimates 660 thousand in 2010. They're mainly in areas of Africa which have mosquitoes that have developed resistance to DDT. This is well known.

As for your bigotry, dude. You're deeply proud of collaborating with a man who wants to scare Mexicans away from emergency rooms. Frankly, I'm surprised you haven't promoted sex with five-year-old girls or denied the Holocaust yet.

Not to mention the little fact that the DDT ban exempts situations where there is a significant threat to human health.

(IOW: If you really need to use it, you can.)
