Breaking News -- the Humanities Theater exploded and caught fire today. A snow shovel was discovered wedged into a gas pipe. One person was taken to the ER with what sources describe as "a flesh wound in an embarrassing location". Film at 11.
Really? I'm pretty close to the University, and when I got up at 8 today, it was snowing pretty hard... and it's continued to do that for 6 hours so far and doesn't show any weakness yet (the only change is that the flakes are now larger and stickier).
I'm not close, but weather.com says it's still snowing in Kitchner. The 'snow blob' extends all the way to the Atlantic and looks as if it will stay a while.
Well, it is still coming down, but the flakes are small in size. And we are now on the tail of the blob on the radar maps, so it should only get better now.
But more importantly, the theatre made the call at 4pm that they are open, and the shows will go on.

Date: 2013-02-08 09:52 pm (UTC)well of course not. goes along with that pesky sense of honour. leadership from the front is very inspiring.
I thought that you were in more of an administrative position though, as befits a man of your years, seniority, and demonstrated foolhardiness?
um, comrades? got a nice cohort of comrades to help shovel?
