So, does he perceive all around himself, 360°, or does he retain a normal human perception?

If the former, he's great at tracking people and things. Just leave a speck or two on the person or item, and he knows where it is at all times. Though that sounds like a specific power, perhaps one he could purchase/develop in the future?

If he goes up against an air elemental based super, is he SOL?

Retrieving scattered glitter is one of the more implausible superpowers.

I think there was a return of Spider-Man to controversial drugs stories when the Absorbing Man took on the physical properties of cocaine and his fellow criminals split him up for street level drug users to snort.

And Sandman got mixed with Hydro-Man once.

I think that bits cut off Deadpool have been assembled to make more than one Franken-Deadpool character over the years.
