Sometimes in Icons, you get weird combinations that force the player to be creative to explain how all the bits fit together. Other times....



One gets a perfectly stock flying brick...

Sumner is an affordably priced PI whose boring divorce case ended with him having an origin after it turned out the husband wasn't having an affair. He was a supervillain whose kirbytech turned out to be explody.

Strictly speaking, a flying brick should be a bit stronger; 6 is technically within human limits. A least he's zippy fast. Flight 8 means he can cover Montreal to Toronto in a page or so [1]. The GM let me make the flight dependent on the force field so I could buy +2 to strength as an extra. Since it's an extra for the flight, it also goes away when the force field does. So do the two extra points of stamina it brings. Without the glowing field, he's just another unremarkable super-humanly observant genius who can hoist a car over his head.

1: Massive overkill for an adventure set in a not-particularly large town.

Flight also becomes a lot cheaper if you don't sweat the ability to make turns.
