I remember my excitement when I found a used copy almost 20 years ago. I imprinted early on Joan Vinge thanks to my mom, and then I found new (to me) stories. To me, she's one of the best writers at novella length.

Sadly, finding Vernor's novels was not rewarding. I really need to stop reading books by my favorite authors' (ex)husbands expecting the same quality.
