There are a LOT of sf/f authors of whom I know nothing but the names and a general sense of "I looked at some of their books and I didn't feel like reading them, so I didn't." Anthony isn't one of them, but he easily could have been.

Except that I wouldn't necessarily remember WHICH author-I-have-never-read he was. I might have noticed the books looked skeevy but not permanently crossfiled that with the name. I definitely do that with other people whose books and/or authorial presences I confuse.
