Kind of impressed by the length of time one of my cats put into very slowly creeping up to Groucho to snuggle up to him. Groucho was asleep on my left; Ibid started off on my right and then spend about an hour slowly inching around me until he could be next to Groucho.

That is impressive determination.

Questions:

1) Does Groucho not react well to being snuggled by Ibid while conscious? (I suspect I may be able to guess the answer to this one.)

2) Did Ibid eventually succeed in snuggling up to him without waking him, or was all his creeping in vain?

Groucho is 20 and very, very set in his ways. Ibid is maybe 14 months, huge and has the calm demeanor of a four-year-old hopped up on caffeinated pixie sticks.

But, yes, this time he got to sleep next to Groucho without growling or Groucho getting up and stomping off.

A small growl to let Ibid know Groucho knew what he was up to but Groucho let him sleep next to him.

This morning G jumped onto the bed, saw Ibid, growled at him, walked up and stood on him, kneaded Ibid vigorously for a minute, then settled down on him. While growling and hissing at Ibid. Ibid looked very confused.
