Iran committed to halt the expansion of its uranium enrichment program and not to press ahead with its Arak reactor or related plutonium program, the United States said on Sunday describing a nuclear agreement between Tehran and six major world powers.

Israeli reaction falls short of overwhelming optimism.

I'm afraid I expected that response from Likud in general and Netanyahu in particular. Disappointing to see him deliver as expected.

As for Israel as a whole, I want to keep a closer eye on their several news services to get a better idea of that part of the situation.

As to the seriousness of Iran's stated intent here, we'll all be keeping watch on that as well, won't we?

I'm hopeful but guarded. Iran is not North Korea, but there was a lesson to be learned there.

Would/Will Iran really do all that much to make up the shortfall? Israel is estimated to have somewhere between 80 and 400 warheads. Iran is unlikely to want many more than Israel. According to Nyrath the Nearly Wise's Project Rho, each launch vehicle will need anywhere from 200 to 800 pulse units just to make orbit, so Iran isn't going to be contributing all that much when we all need to leave.
