Yeah, I noted elsewhere that most of my recipes seem to call out measures in volume. This is true even of my Swedish-language cookbooks, which tend to call things out in deciliters a lot. Butter and yeast are notated in grams, but butter sticks are graduated by weight anyway, and yeast, well, I can't get Swedish style cake yeast anywhere anyway, so it's all by guess and by golly conversions there anyhow.
