Perseids Watch 2018
Jul. 13th, 2018 09:07 pm
Come watch the Perseid Meteor shower in rural darkness near New Dundee. The 11th is a couple of days before the peak but there should still be lots of events. Unlike last year, it will be a New Moon so meteor watchers will not have to contend with Moon-glare.
What you will need:
A comfortable surface on which to rest while staring up at the sky.
Warm clothes.
A blanket (and/or suitable human heat source)
A tent (if you plan to sleep on the campsite overnight)
Some means of getting there.
(Facebook event here) Location on the QT for now: I don't want to post the address out in public. People who attended Persiedsboink may be interested to know the farm I am using this time is not too far from the church I rented nearly 20 years ago.
