Borders Group Inc., the number-two U.S. bookstore chain, filed for bankruptcy in New York today after management changes, job cuts and debt restructuring failed to make up for sagging book sales in the face of competition from Amazon.com Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

But dinosaurs DIDN'T die out... well not all of them, at least. These days we just happen to call them alligators, crocodiles, scorpions, octopi, coelacanths, and quite a few other names for animals that were alive not only while dinosaurs lived, but also existed long before them.

Clarification: I mean dues paying, card-carrying member.
