The Scots are an exceptionally stabby people.

Actually, I don't know if "learned" is quite the right word there. "Reminded" might be more on the mark.

Personally, I go right for a stream of vulgarity. The only right response to any negative stimulus is rage.

An anti-knife program in Scotland, justified by the alleged Scottish habit of stabbity homicide.

Personally, I think it is the height of cultural insensitivity to object to the odd moment of stabbening and anyway Red Comyn had it coming.

"We have large kitchen knives, axes, samurai swords, baseball bats, a huge number and different type of weapons - in simple terms weapons that can kill."

I don't think I have a baseball bat, but I have instances of all the rest of those lying about my house.

Also, the phrase "internet knife gang" made me wonder how you knife somebody on the internet.

Take this Seriously? No, no I'm not.

Well it all comes from knives being able to animates themselves and kill people without anyone holding the knife (because knives are evil and kill people), it is only a simple matter for them to then fly down the intertubes (if a US senator says that is how the internet works, who am I to argue) from one computer to another and then there is much stabbity action going on. [/silly]

Or it could be a cool Facebook application where you can buy virtual knives and virtually stab your friends. Maybe I should make that, then I can identity thieve all the people that use it.

I'm lacking the samurai sword (or any other kind of sword), I do have a hatchet (though I'm not sure if that counts as an axe) I seem to have the rest though (and significant quantities of some of the smaller objects).

The 2014 Commonwealth Games are to be held in Glasgow. If there is an open competition to design a mascot for the Games I plan to put in an entry called "Stabby McFuckface" as the epitome of all things Glaswegian.

(Worst that ever happened to me in Glasgow city centre at three on the morning was being offered a drink by a well-oiled wee nyaff.)

Hooray! I'm the descendant of super stabby peoples! Wonder if that means I'm genetically predisposed to being good at the stabby-stabby.

Hmm. Not so much "the" descendant as "a" descendant. Guess my ego got out of control there.

All Celts are inherently super-warriors. Please ignore the actual historical record as it is prejudiced against us.

Sure, we always bring swords (there's that stabbity again) to gunfights, but you're missing the point (ha!): we always bring swords to gunfights and almost[1] win[2]. I mean, it's no coincidence they[3] started raising Highland Regiments right after the '45 -- it was either ship us overseas to conquer the British Empire for their administrative delight, or leave us[4] on the big home island to eventually, inevitably, finally figure out how to do that 'bring guns to gunfights', and then crush them.

No fools, they went for option A (with Highland Clearances, later, just in case).
