2009: Minecraft is released, the Treaty of Lisbon comes into force, and the common vernacular now includes the term "alt-right".

I am struck by how poorly reprinted some of these stories are. Also, appalled at my low hit rate, given that the SFBC, RT, and PW were all funnelling books to me by the wheelbarrow load.

Read the Le Guin, Doctorow, Pratchett. (Don't need that much Doctorow, all things considered. Nice person, though.)

Read the Eskridge, want to read Nazarian in general; also, Nina Kiriki Hoffman, and all the films. (I guess I can see why that SG:A episode was nominated. It's an Event, and so on. Don't remember it being *that* good, though.)

The Pratchett and the Wall-E and Dark Knight movies.

Although I didn't watch Wall-E until afterwards.

I've read the novel-length version of Pride and Prejudice. Quite enjoyable.

Still wishing for a box for "none of the above" over here ... (apparently 2009 wasn't a good year)
