I'm still trying to get over the fact that the local "oldies" station has started playing Pearl Jam.

I shop at the Co-op where a percentage of the profits is returned to the shoppers/owners so I do shop happily. The payback isn't as good for the grocery store as the gas station but it is still decent. On top of that there are often in store rebates/gift cards awarded for members.

My wife set up the membership but I think it was either $5 or $15 for a lifetime. IIRC, when she turns 65 she will get a bonus equal to the total bonuses she has received up to that point in time. It should be a tidy sum, well into the 4 figure range.

Eminem is officially Dad Music. He's 47 in October, his first album came out 22 years ago, and he won his first Grammy 19 years ago with The Slim Shady LP.

Let's see...so is Snoop Dogg (debut album 25 years ago). Tupac Shakur died 22 years ago. Ice-T brought out "Cop Killer" 25 years ago. Britney Spears released "Hit Me Baby One More Time" twenty years ago.

Michael Jackson was 24 years old when he recorded Thriller...36 years ago. Meaning as much time has passed since the release of Thriller as there was between Thriller and the soundtrack of Song of the South.

I stopped listening to radio when classic rock stations started playing bands I listen to classic rock stations in order not to hear.

It is also one of the best known reggae songs of all time. At work we became fans of the LA KLOS radio station show "The Sessions" while we where in California for the NAMM trade show. They pick apart songs and showed how especially the beat and rhythm guitar is pure reggae.
