"[...] David [commented] that he wrote books that he wanted to read and would never write a book solely for the money. The other author's response was that eventually David would grow up and write anything that would pay the bills. The encounter left me with a bad taste for the other author and, as far as I know, David, in his all too short career, never wrote just to make a buck."
