You see, it's a labor relations sort of thing. Normally if a dark wizard creates demonic servants, they have to provide healthcare benefits, have maximum working hours and overtime, etc. Which is why dark wizards started setting up demonic servants as interns, and let them go after five years. It's good for the dark wizard's bottom line, but it does create a horde of unemployed demonic servants working contract jobs, crowding job message boards, and hanging around coffee shops pecking at their resumes. It's no wonder the demonic horde gets a little testy...
