I'll go for 49. On the grounds that last year's 82 was the largest number of submissions they'd ever had.

coalescent's prediction in your post the other day was pretty accurate, apart from Life After Life which hasn't been submitted. Is there a Margaret Atwood award it could be nominated for, perhaps?

This is roughly double the number of submissions by women compared with last year, which is a good start, but doesn't mean a lot until we see the shortlist.

Has anyone checked this list? Because one of the entries, Valour's Choice, by Tanya Huff, was published in 2000, and therefore not qualified for this award...
As far as I can tell, she didn't have anything published in 2013, so I have no idea what she's doing on this list.
