Moffatt apparently getting annoyed by people who want a female doctor whereas Gaiman points out a woman would not have done because replacing Smith requires "someone harder and older and more dangerous" than Smith.

I don't know why but I am less and less interested in Gaiman's fiction the older I get.

I think my interest in Gaiman’s fiction peaked with my first exposure to it (the “Season of Mists” arc of Sandman), though it wasn’t till after I read American Gods that I decided I didn’t need to bother anymore.
