I'm not sure what it says that my first question is "Did it work?", and that I am sure I'm not the only one who wants to know specifics.

It did! But it was part of the group effort; it alone was not sufficient.

I take it the t-rex did not have access to a pistol, a 16-ton weight, or a tiger?

How did that work out for him - oh, wait. *reads other comments*

I've seen a PC attack a T-Rex with a single throwing knife. (It was more effective than I expected.) Player characters get into these situations.

Very briefly: T. rex, Savage Land, Emma Frost had already put a buttload of mental stress on the T. Rex (I think D10), and Beast decided to use the durian fruit to further confuse it. (Scene distinction: dangerous flora and fauna, so of course there were durian fruit handy.) Spider-man also used his webbing to help confuse it, and I don't recall which one actually pushed it from D12 mental stress to "I think I'll look elsewhere for yummies." (If James says he did, he probably did.)

Very simple. (For a player character.)

I did say " But it was part of the group effort; it alone was not sufficient." Emma was first, Beast second and Spider-Man third.

Did he use it as a bludgeon or as a chemical attack?

It was Marvel: only the intent mattered. This is a game where you can shoot someone to cause them emotional stress. ("You're no longer human!" the loved one cried, and she emptied the shotgun into Peter's chest....The player knew it wouldn't hurt him, but it might give him an angsty moment and ratchet up his emotional stress.)

Being the Beast, I think it was a chemical attack.

I used to think durian couldn't be as bad as everyone said - then I tried one.

It was *worse*.

Makes a note that Beast probably got some durian pulp and juice on his fur...have other characters respond to that. Repeatedly.

Delicious attention to detail.

Probably the only time anyone sane and/or not from it's native area will use that term with regards to the durian.

The phrase "durians vile" has to come from somewhere.

The t-rex had the durian, and used it to defend itself?

Well, when push comes to show, you've got to use what you have handy. Shows initiative.

I admit the cautiously optimistic tone I imagine being used with the word 'first' in there. Good show!
