If it's actually a SF film it might be good. It looks like it might be a horror film, which means, like every other horror/sf film of the last 25 years it will suck like a vacuum cleaner in exactly the same ultra-formulaic manner that they (along with 95+% of recent horror films) all do.

Yeah, that was my impression of the last five seconds of the trailer. Oh, sudden static, and something about life on Europa. This is going to be another survival horror movie. Yay.

And by "Yay" I mean "Please, no more, please."

Well, already the surface of Europa, which is kind of tan, is being rendered as pale blue with reddish linnea-- resembling some oft-reproduced, but highly color-stretched, Galileo images. So that's not a point in the film's favor.

I saw a link to this over on Bad Astronomy, and it looked good right up until the very end of the trailer when I thought, "OK, bad horror film; which single person on the crew survives to take the ship and whatever Nasty Alien Thing home?"
