On the one hand, the recent SCOTUS decision

to disallow the execution of minors is probably the right thing for them to have done (Unlike the decision to withdraw the death penalty from the mentally retarded, which was only done as a measure to protect Republican voters from the DP). On the other hand, Canadians have certain expectations when it comes to the US supplying us with reasons to mock it and this decision does not meet those expectations. All part of the inevitable cooling between Canada and the USA, I suppose.
