Think Amy gets fridged next season?

I know I'm late to the party

But I thought the episode that introduced her was rather... sleazy, if that's the right word. For once I'd like to see the doc have male companions or have the entire franchise retire.

It's almost too expected?

They're allegedly getting their own show.

One hopes that the rumour's true...

The general pattern of the last couple of seasons has been Amy doppelgängers getting killed.

meta-fridged, alterna-fridged...

My honest take: she's just a plot device with a hard working actress and the best commentary on her is actually the Supernatural episode in which the monster of the week tried to hide using her name.

Actually, Supernatural is the superior show overall, girl problems and all.

For some reason, the announcer's accent makes it all seem fake.

I had something similar happen while watching The Eddy Duchin Story. The accents the actors playing the son used seemed odd for an upper class American kid living in New York in the 1930s and 1940s.

I think, in this case, it was a combination of the accent, the volume of the announcer's voice, and how it was dubbed in.

I have the same reaction to the voice-over at the end of episodes, when they invite viewers to watch whatever follow-on thing they have about the show.

Was trying to work out if the announcer was Mark Sheppard (Canton Delaware III)
