It appears at least one elf and one crow share your opinion. Oh, and me.

Are you being sarcastic or sincere?

Sincere. I did not foresee the elf's genocide of one lineage of black dragons tying into the gate plot.

But he made the hard choice! Isn't the hard choice always the right one?

Of course it is. That's why the premature anti-genocidists must be shunned.

Actually, it was a very easy choice to make, I imagine, when you're channeling the magic of three evil souls. The hard choice would have been if he/she/ve had just killed the black dragon instantaneously without all the theatrical gloating.

I would really like to know how much of this Burlew had in mind when the first black dragon made its appearance (I think that was the sequence where he used the "color-coded for your moral convenience" line).

There will still be more consequences from those actions.

I did not expect that particular action to have consequences that would show up, though.

Yeah, we haven't even hit the *really* big consequence, when the price V paid comes due just in time to fuck up the world but good.

I'm hoping that repentant-V will find a way to use that price to repair some of the damage.

I didn't understand what was going on so I have gone back to the beginning to read the strip. I didn't get too far* before one of my kids highjacked the link and is now sitting chuckling to himself.

I haven't read OOTS for years and years, but I was a charter member of the Mr Scruffy Fan Club and am glad to see he's still around.

He's basically Belkar's familiar at this point. Or maybe the other way around.
