a lot of commonwealth humor is not that inexplicable to others who have that kind of exposure to a wide range of humor. I enjoy a lot of Canadian humor, and some other commonwealth cartoonists like the guy who does Footrot Flats (NewZealand).
I well remember using Pearson in a game on IRC involving guessing the names of famous people from their initials. Later people would just start saying "WHO?" when it got to be my turn.
