Good old FedEx (redux)

And yet another package is late, with time with added "we don't actually know what happened to it after it left Mississauga."

It's hot, my FedEx package is missing and I am cranky

That said, this still sounds awful.

Awesome

I asked the FexEx lost package tracking person if I should use some courier company other than FedEx and she agreed that I should. It wasn't in a "we'd be happy to see you back manner", it was a 'I'm not actually listening to you" manner.

Still: the official advice I got from FedEx was "don't use FedEx."

Holy crap

In the course of the call with a different FedEx rep about where the box is (somehow the label came off; wonder how that happened), I asked if their official advice really was 'use someone else' and was told who I use is entirely my choice. No attempt at customer retention at all.

The Twisted Staircase

This is a staircase in Needles Hall at the University of Waterloo. For reasons I do not really understand, it is very disorienting.

We finished up 13th Age last night and are taking a couple of months off it, after which the campaign will begin again five years down the road.
