I asked the FexEx lost package tracking person if I should use some courier company other than FedEx and she agreed that I should. It wasn't in a "we'd be happy to see you back manner", it was a 'I'm not actually listening to you" manner.
Still: the official advice I got from FedEx was "don't use FedEx."
