CHICAGO, May 5, 2011—Within the next five years, the United States is expected to experience a manufacturing renaissance as the wage gap with China shrinks and certain U.S. states become some of the cheapest locations for manufacturing in the developed world, according to a new analysis by The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
If unchecked this could lead to a resurgence in American unions and the middle class (although I expect plans are in place to funnel additional income towards deserving billionaires and away from the undeserving underclasses).

This is mainly doomy only if you assume birth rate trends are not reversable but they are not the entire planet seems likely to head into subreplacement levels that are not sustainable in the long run. I eager await the mirror images of The Population Bomb
