The Golden Calf worshippers have apparently either never read Exodus or have forgotten it (Or they think it's OT and doesn't apply to them or some other option I am overlooking). I note that most self-declared Xtians were not involved in the חטא העגל and the ones who were were a tiny, tiny fraction of all the Xtians in the world. One wonders then if the cases where a self-declared Xtian does or says something that indicates they've never actually RTFB are noted because they are amusing rather than because they are common.

Catholic (convert from a non-religious upbringing). Have read the whole bible numerous times, in several translations, (and the Catholic version has several more books!)

Toyed with the idea of learning Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic to be able to read the original texts, but I figure I'm annoying enough already.
