Is "Unwillingly to School" supposed to be a joke, or just a typo/thinko?

Odd. I'm on the Grand River hospital wifi, but when I click on the link to Reactor, the web nanny thinks the site is going to suck up my info, and won't let me through. I guess I'll read it later.

The trope of aliens interbreeding with humans as noted in [3] is just a symptom of "let's move old fashioned adventure stories into space because the Earth is too explored". A bigger problem is the Fermi argument objecting to the existence of star-travelling aliens at all.

I bought a copy of Unwillingly to Earth mostly because you'd recommended it a few times and it sounded interesting. Unfortunately, I find the dialect hard-going, so I've only read the first section so far. I do intend to go back to it, though, because I liked the story itself.
