Are there Hal Clement fanfic stories? I suppose there must be.

Come to think of it, I used to draw Mesklinite cartoons for fanzines, which I suppose is fanfic-adjacent.

I'm a bit surprised to discover that there is no fan fiction on AO3 that's based on any of Hal Clement's writing.

I am not a fanfic reader, but I had faith in the joyous multitudes writing for AO3, faith that you have now shattered.

Another indignity I'd already known about: IMDB lists not one work of Hal Clement's fiction that has been translated into film or TV. Not one!

A very nice man, who was voted a Grand Master by fellow writers, who by example showed others how hard SF is done, deserves to be better remembered.
