House of Cards became a popular TV series on the BBC, starring Ian Richardson as Urquhart. His catchphrase - You might very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment - became very popular.

A few years later, Richardson narrated a concert production of Iolanthe by Gilbert and Sullivan and managed to work the phrase into the narration.
