All joking aside, the absolute incompetence on display in these last few weeks of Trump's campaign has been such a relief. Even a minimally competent organizer could have turned the chaotic mess of the Trump Qult into a national fascist movement. Instead what we got was public screaming about how other people needed to rescue him from the vote and behind the scenes scheming to extract as much money as possible at his rallies. The result is a disorganized mob scene where everyone blames someone else for not doing enough to rescue their savour.

Did you hear the story where leakers said that when it came to legal challenges, Jared was supposed to be the one in charge of organizing it1, but he thought someone else was responsible for doing it, therefore no one was doing it, and they only realized this at the last minute thus the comedy scenes like filing suit to try and stop counting after Biden pulled ahead in the Michigan count?2

1 Clearly, given his success in solving all problems in the Middle East, ending the opiod problem, building the border wall, updating the Republican platform, reforming the criminal justice system, and improving relations with China, the obvious choice.

2 Reported Democratic response: scratching head and saying "Okay, you just run with that."

Sadly, I can't find the report where I saw it. There's just so many as rats scurry for the lifeboats.

It's a short term relief that is not enough to cover a long-term anxiety: a future Trump, but competent.

I have been arguing for years that Donald Trump isn't as stupid as he seems. And he does know how a civilized citizen and holder of public office should behave. He just doesn't want to.

According to Snopes, there is a lot of debt from his 2020 campaign, and continuing donations from followers (and if you made a donation, it's weekly till 12/14, so check your card statement) will partly go to pay that, partly go elsewhere, and not pay the lawyers still fighting the election as you were told. But would anyone be surprised if he himself took that money and vanished?

Is the microphone from a news organization? I think it says 'Trump 2020' on it though.
