Well, it will take a braver person that I to go over to youtube and check out the comments this no doubt is generating.

I don't say this often, but the comments are actually good. A lot of them are funny. A few of the usually 'Heinlein was a genius and you're just too dull to get his genius' types show up, but they don't last long. There's just too many people in comments unwilling to accept the 'you must respect him for his contributions to the genre' argument. Stranger In A Strange Land is a creepy book, and the comments drag it for being a creepy book.

When I looked, a lot of the comments were from asexuals.

She did a good job summarizing the novel. And I agree, it's a bit whacky, and shows some of the cracks in Heinlein's veneer. Especially his opinions about casual sex and polygamy. I do love how she got one detail right with her illustrations. When Micheal makes folks "disappear", they just don't vanish, they appear to streak away from the observer. And her art shows that effect, especially the scene with the gun being vanished.

I've watched some of their other videos summaries of - Part I of Journey to the West, Dante's Divine Comedy.

This is a good one.

Oh ... my. This is wonderful.

I want to bear this woman's Martian nymphs and grok with her in a purely Martian way, but I'll probably get discorporated for being creepy ...

Having read the book, I have to say that Red's take is BRILLIANT.

Finally got around to watching this. Pretty good, and the top-level comments I saw were good, too.

I needed that, after seeing a news report that Bank of America agreeing to defer mortgage payments often meant, "no need to pay for three months, but then the three back payments and current month's payment are ALL due".
