Here in the days of internet-shopping-from-one's-couch, it's difficult to convey to young people just how arduous the Quest for Books used to be.

Date: 2017-06-05 01:22 am (UTC)Trips to Mackinac would sometimes mean a stop in Ann Arbor to visit Eye of Agamotto.
We did yearly trips out west. I had a whole list of bookstores and comic shops. I'd be surprised if any of them are still open thirty-odd years later.
