An odd but not serious incompatability

james_davis_nicollI have a document that seems to have been written in a 1997 version of Word. Now, I've had compatability issues when trying to open documents written in a more recent version of Word than the one I was using but never the other way round. In this case, for some reason when I close the file, this is interpreted as the file having froze and killed, so the system generates an error message to sent to Microsoft. Since this only happens when I close the file (and anyway, I've finished it and moved it to the read-novels folder), it's not much more than a peculiar tic but has anyone else ever run into this?
