white furred, sinuous, and definitely not a cat or rabbit and lives in Kitchener? Whatever it was, I saw one this afternoon.

Lemur? They are extraordiarily sinuous and do come in white coats, although that's more of a spring/summer weardrobe for them! :-D

Did it look like this (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a9/Mustela_erminea_winter_cropped.jpg)?

Wikipedia says that's a Stoat in winter fur, when it's known as an Ermine (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoat).

There is also the possibility of an albino squirrel.

However James finally goes out, I very much doubt it will be softly and silently.

Hard to say. The CTA has a limited range in which it can construct its lair, whereas the snowsnake is much wider ranging but seasonal.

Iceweasel?

It doesn't have to be an albino to be white. It could be a white morph (has pigment that happens to be white) rather than albino (no pigment).

Red eyes = albino

Normal eyes = white morph

Someone is doing some research on white squirrels if you've seen one.
