Date: 2013-05-04 06:17 pm (UTC)I picked up Ardor On Aros in an airport back in the '70s and... yeah, a pastiche of the Burroughs's Mars books, but with a really heavy dose of Sex(ism) Sells! added. Moving on, I liked his author's introduction to his short story in Again, Dangerous Visions more than the actual story (which was cute).
He's one of many mid-list authors who've given me a few hours of reading, even if they never made it to the permanent space on my bookshelves, and that's not a back-handed complement. It's a niche that I'm missing more and more.
