Date: 2012-09-21 10:15 pm (UTC)and to be fair, one of the very first comics I ever read involved Robin kicking a drug dealer off a balcony to his death after the dealer beat his girlfriend so bad that she committed suicide. I was six, and it made me a lifelong fan of the company and their characters
That's a very strange note to hit. It reminded me what it actually was like to be six for a moment.
And, it made me see the candlestick between the two faces of what his point actually was, which I had somehow missed even though he'd been repeating it over and over: the problem with rape is that it's monotonous. Gaze long enough and DC Comics gazes into you also.
