RIP glasses

The frame very suddenly cracked, then broke. The lenses...very expensive lenses... are OK.

Well, that could have been much worse

Noticed my glasses frames were cracked later night, got called in to cover a morning class, arrived early enough I had time to swing by Optometry, glasses broke while they were trying to fix them, but my class was cancelled so I had nowhere to be. Result: old lenses are now in brand new frames.

The other way it could have gone is class not cancelled, left lens falls out in a theatre with several hundred students in it, lens gets crushed underfoot.
