Interesting

Wikipedia says "[Captain Scarlet] has been praised for [...] its depiction of a utopian future Earth", whereas it looks to me like an authoritarian police state and the whole reason I looked at the entry was to try to figure out if the world state in that show is democratic or a military dictatorship.
