A poll about Jim Baen's Universe from Walt Boyes (I think: he's the Marketing director for JBU and bananaslug signs their posts "Walt").

So far I'm the only one to answer...

The good news is that the Big Three are dying more slowly than they have in the recent past.

"ASIMOV’S: subscriptions down to 14084 from 15117, newsstand sales rose from 3419 to 3497. [...]

ANALOG: subscriptions down to 22972 from 23732, newsstand sales sank from 4597 to 4427. [...]

THE MAGAZINE OF FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION: subscriptions down to 12831 from 14575, newsstand sales sank from 3691 to 3658.
"

And at least one online venue is attracting eyeballs.

At the end of the American Revolution, two British officers dealt with the issue of what to do with the black Loyalists in different ways. Many, perhaps most of them, were escaped slaves and in the eyes of Congress and its representative George Washington, property that had to be returned to its owners. Carleton got 3000 black Loyalists evacuated to Nova Scotia but Cornwallis abandoned the black soldiers who fought for him to be re-enslaved by the Americans.

Religious conviction confers no particular talent for singing or apparently any conception of how well one is singing.

How would a reviewer in Canada get hold of British editions of books for review? Talk to the publisher in the UK or their representatives in Canada?

Apparently the writers were listening when their Eng 101 profs talked about reincorporation because three cases involve bodies turning up because of unusual levels of rain and I think at least two of them involved the same major rainfall.
