1: But only mostly. I was thinking about elderly crime solving women recently because of the reference to the Snoop sisters here and the two old ladies on Bones and it amusing me to come up with a pair of characters I'll never use.
Two nice little old ladies whose pasts are not so much checkered as comfortably past the statute of limitations. When they pull a "This reminds me of the time my old friend did X", the old friend is likely to be someone like Jessie Williams or Meyer Lansky.
Hmmm. This is basically Rally Vincent and Minnie May Hopkins at Seventy.
I have extremely faint memories of the madame who used to live up the street from us in England. All I remember about her is that she was always very nice to the neighborhood kids. Well, and when I went through a box of letters from my father that were in my grandmother's estate, he mentioned one of the local young men had caught an STD from one of the young women up the street.
