The driver of the 17 bus not only parked in the wrong place while giving every impression she wasn't really comfortable driving a bus but she took off from Stanley Park Mall a good five minutes before she was supposed to. This meant the woman who transfers from the 1 to the 17 every night got to walk home from SPM.

I have no idea. I don't know her that well but she always gets off when I get on. I did try to stop the bus when I saw it was leaving early but no luck.

If your transit system has a complaints phone line, you could report the driver. (I have lots of sympathy for bus drivers who are late because of traffic, but absolutely none for drivers who leave time points early.)

I think so, yeah. Grand River has hired a lot of drivers in the last few months.

My sympathies. Back when I was taking the bus to work, I would always miss my connection, because the bus driver would park at the stop next to a fast food place, and go inside to use the bathroom. cooling my heels in a bus for ten minutes because the driver couldn't control her bowels was really frustrating.

Umm, say that after you've had the joy and bliss of a four hour haul with no time to make the facilities because you were doing your damnest to stay a modicum close to the scheduled timings. BTDTGTTS. Bus driving is right up there with waiting tables. You don't get it until you've done it.
