Ah, but what constitutes Quebec? Arguably the north should be spun off into something like Nunavut.

Personally I believe it would be an affront to force Quebec to take Montreal, with its populations of non-pure wool ethnics who can only serve to dilute true Quebec culture. In memory of the memories of the ties that once bound us, we should agree to keep Montreal and a corridor connecting Ontario to the Atlantic provinces.

I think joining the EU (in all but name, anyway) would really help make the great Anglo corridor and other such border realignments more palatable. But would the Atlantic provinces want to join the EU? Maybe it is more fun to go to war with Spain on the high seas than wrangle over fishing regulations in Brussels.

Why can't we compromise and make war on Spain while wrangling over fishing in Brussels? My impression is that Spain's fishermen are not widely loved.

No nation's fishermen are widely loved by any other nation. That said, though, I'm sure most people outside Spain would like to see every single Spanish fishing vessel sunk.

hehe... I will not agree/agree with you atm but I should clarify my statement. I meant the possibility of Bernier making that statement had the ring of truth. Not the possibility of Quebece seperating which would be another thread in my mind.
