However, the market conditions in the 1990s were very different from the 1980s, and number that would be terrible in the 1980s were hits in the 1990s.

It looks like their new ideas were mostly tailing off as the time-frame progressed. However, there were 12 years of Dragonlance books, sales of which were presumably spread across the time in question.

Something is really wrong if you can negative unit sales (in 1990). The rot ran deep, I guess.

I liked the Lankhmar setting, but I'm not surprised it didn't sell well.

Spelljammer was a really fun initial concept that I don't think they developed very well from there.
