Getting to the stores at opening time on Saturday has been turning me into a morning person. I don't like that.

Central Fresh Market has local potatoes and more importantly they deliver. Delivery price is based on range, not amount.

That's not as important as getting into an elastomeric respirator with P100 filters but it's more important than goggles. There's a couple big studies now that make it clear vaccine protection against long covid is slight at best and non-existent over sixty. Given that long covid risks are high, per-infection, and increase with subsequent infections, avoiding being infected at all has to be the primary priority.

Around here the number of maskers in the grocery store seems to remain steady. Goimg after midnight makes for better percentages. (I am lucky to have that option plus access to a car.)

At the Weston "supercentre" (or "superstore", whatever" it was about 75% or more masked on Saturday afternoon. On the TTC it was closer to 90%.

I find that weekends are the worst time for unmasked people. I attribute it to a lot of people who live out of town coming in to get their groceries and weekend shopping in. Since we are in the South End of Winnipeg, our out of towners come from Manitoba's bible belt.

Just got back from Tesco in Guildford here in the UK. Mask wearing has just about gone out of fashion.
