Date: 2007-12-31 03:10 pm (UTC)Enh, it's not that cut-and-dried: Hillary's volunteer was distributing a direct smear against an opponent, which is a violation of campaign ethics and a sackable offense. This guy's just mouthing off on another topic, and as far as I can see he's not trying to represent it as anybody's views but his own. Rudy definitely needs to repudiate his statements (maybe "ask him to resign", or reassign him to a less prominent position) but firing him outright for his views?
A better parallel would be Amanda Marcotte.
